The population of a city is 50,000 at present. It increases at a rate of 10% per annum. What will be its population 3 yr from now?

Population=50, 000

Increased rate=10 percent

Increase in population after 1 year=10/100×50000

=5000

Therefore Population after 3 years =50000+5000+5000+5000

=65000
