GIVEN

Total population = 1000

Annual birth rate = 10%

Annual death rate = 3%

Annual increase rate = 10% - 3%

                                   = 7%

FORMULA TO BE USED

A = P(1+R/100)ⁿ

A → total population

P → the initial population which is 1000

R → the increase population rate

n →   number of years = 1

A = 1000 (1+\frac{7}{100} )^{1}

  = 1071

Answer:

Total population = 1000

birth rate = 10%1000 = 100

Death rate = 3% of 1000 = 30

= 1000+100-30

= 1000+70

= 1070

the population after one year is 1070.
