No. of new citizen be ,x

x+160000=180000

x=180000-160000

x=20000

now,

per cent of new citizen= no. of new population citizen×100/old population

=20000×100/160000
=200/16
=100/8
=50/4
=25/2
=12.5%
therefore the percentage of new citizen=12.5%

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:Increase in population

= 180000 - 160000

= 20000

==================================

Increase percentage = increase ÷ original value * 100

   = 20000/160000 * 100                                  = 12.5
