The population of a town increased from 1,75,000 to 3,00,000. Find the increase percent in
the population.

First, find out the Increase population. :

= Population after increase - Population before increase

= 3,00,000 - 1,75,000

=1,25,000 (increase population )

Formula of Increase population :

= Increase population / Population after increase

To find percentage we have to multiply it by 100

So, the formula is something like this:

Increase population/ population after increase × 100

= 1,25,000/3,00,000× 100

After simplify we get :

125/3

= 41.66%
