The number of females are 14295

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the no. of males and y be the no. of females

The population of a town is 10000.

So, x+y = 10000

x=10000-y

The population of males increases by 16.66%

Number of males = x+0.1666x=1.1666x

Number of females = y+0.375y=1.375y

Total population = 1.666x+1.375y = 12500

So, 1.666(10000-y)+1.375y=12500

14295.5 =y

Hence the number of females are 14295
