Given,

Population of a town = 1,25,000

Increase rate (per annum) = 2%

2%of 1,25,000 = 2/100 × 1,25,000

= 2,500 per annum.

After 3 years, the population growth will be = 2,500 × 3

= 7,500

Population after 3 years = 1,25,000 + 7500

= 1,32,500

increase per annum=(2/100)×125000

=2500 people

population after 3 years=125000+3(2500)

=200000
