hey mate here is your answer
total population = 18000
increase of population in first year 10%
increase of population in second year 20%
so total pecent 30 %
now
30×18000/100 = 5400
therefore population increased in 2 years
18000 + 5400 = 23400

First find the 10% of 18000 that is 1800 and add it to the previous population and it become 18000+1800=19800
Then 20 % of 19800 is 3960 and add it to 19800 that is 19800+3960=23760

Hence the population of town after 2 years will be 2370

Hop it works for u friend:-)
