After 1 year population will be

= 50,000×20/100= 10,000

so,

50,000+10,000=60,000

Then,

2nd year the population will be

60,000×20/100= 12,000

So,

60,000+12,000=72,000(Ans)

Hence,

After 2 years population is 72,000
