Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming we have a population of (x)

after one year, Population = ( x + 0.2 x) = 1.2 x

another year a decrease of 10 % will be = .1 * 1.2 x

Increasing = + , & Decreasing = -

So , net population will be = x + 0.2 x - (0.1 * 1.2 X) = 1.08 x

So , The new population will be = 1.08 x

with positive sign means an increase by 8 %
