(a) A= p(1+r/100)t
=44100=p(1+5/100)2
=44100=p(105/100)2
=44100=p*105/100*105/100
=44100*100*100=p*105*105 p=(44100*100*100)/105*105
p=40000
then population of a town 2 years ago is 40000

population after 1 year,

A=p(1+r/100)t
A=44100(1+5/100)1
A=44100*105/100
A=46,305

so the population after 1 year
