Given

The population of a town three years ago was 25,000. If it increases at 10%,  15% and 8% in consecutive three years.

To Find,

Present population = ?

Solution,

P = 1,25,000, R = 10%, T = 3 years

A = P(1+r/100)^n

==> A = 125000(1+10/100) * (1+15/100) * (1+8/100)

==> A = 125000(1 + 1/10) * (115/100) * (108/100)

==> A = 125000(11/10) * (23/20) * (27/25)

==> A = 125000 * 1.1 * 1.15 * 1.08

==> A = 170775

Result,

Present population is 170775
