"Option C" is the answer - 6400

S = Population after 2 years = ?

i = Annual negative growth rate = 20%

n = Duration = 2 years

R= population at the beginning = 10000

S = R(1+i)^n

= 10000( 1 - 20/100)^2

= 10000( 1 - 0.2)^2

= 10000(0.8)^2

= 10000(0.64)

=6400

R = 6400 = current population
