rate of growth of population = 50 /1000 = 5percent
therefore amount = principal (rate - 1/100 ) ^years
22050 = present population * 95/100 * 95/100
present population = 22050 * 100/95 * 100/95
= 20000 people

The present population is 20000

Step-by-step explanation:

The population of a village increase at the rate of 50 per thousand.

Rate of increase = \frac{50}{1000}=0.05

Let the present population be x

So, Population after 1 year =x+0.05x=1.05x

Population after 2 year =1.05x+0.05(1.05x)=1.1025x

We are given that It's population after 2 years will be 22050.

So,1.1025x=22050

x=\frac{22050}{1.1025}

x=20000

Hence the present population is 20000
