1. Number of males =  men + women + children= 10500

2. 4200 + women + 2 women= 10500

3.  women = 2100

 4. Number of children = 4200.

Answer:

8750

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = the number of children in the village

Given that the number of children is twice the number of females,

number of females = x/2

Given that the number of males is 40% of total population,

number of females = 60% of total population, where

number of males = (40/60) * x/2

Total population = 10500 = (x/2) + (2/3)*(x/2) = (5/6)x

x = 10500/(5/6) = 8750 = Number of children in the village
