Given:-

⟼ Present population

⟼ Last 2 years migration %

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

To find:-

⟼ Population 2 years ago

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Solution:-

Let us suppose the population two years ago as x

Rate of decrease ⟼ 4% and 6%

Current population ⟼ 315840

x(1-4)÷100 (1-6)÷100= 315840

x×24÷25×47÷50= 315480

x= 315480×25÷24×50÷47

x= 3,50,000

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

So the population 2 years ago= 3,50,000
