See , the population is decreasing in an A.P. , as the 2nd last year , it was 6% of the total , and the last year it was 4% of the total , then ,
this year the population will be 2% of the total .
so , 2% of the total population is 3,15,840.
so ,100% will be ,
3,15,840 * 50
so ,the population 2 years ago was 8% according to the A.P. ,
so as the total population is known ,  then 8% of total population will be ,
50 * 3,15,840 * 8/100
4 * 3,15,840
12,64,800 people.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the population be x

T=1 year

R=4%

Population=315840

315840=x(1-4/100)^1

315840=x(24/25)

315840*25/24=x

329000=x

Now

T= 1 year

A=329000

R=6%

329000=x(1-6/100)^1

329000=x(47/50)

329000*50/47=x

350000=x

Therefore, the population two years ago was 350000
