The population of a village which was 3800 originally has increased by 7 and a half percent. What is it now?​

population of the village=3800

Increase rate in population= 7½%=15/2%

Then the increased population= 15/2%of 3800

= 15/2×1/100×3800

= 15×19=. 285

hence, the population of the village after the increment=(3800+285)=4085
