The population of town A is 4800 more than town B. If 3100 people move from town B to town A, the population of town A will be 11 times that of town B. Find the sum of the original population of the two towns.​

orignal population of both towns are =

x + 7900 = 11x

7900 = 11x -x

7900 = 10x

7900 ÷ 10 = x

x = 790

population of town A = 8690

population of town B = 790
