present population of town = 18000
Population increased in 1st year = 10%
Number of increased population = 10% of 18000
=> 10/100×18000
=> 1800
New number = 18000+1800 = 19800
population increased in 2nd year = 20%
number of population increased = 20% of 19800
=> 20/100×19800
=> 19800/5
=> 3960
New number = 19800+3960 = 23760
Ans :-The population of town after 2 years is 23,760.
