The population ofa village is 3000. It increased by 10% in the first year and after one year the population decreased by 10%. Find the percentage of increase or decrease in the population.​

Answer:

Population village 3000

% of increase in population :10%

Increase in population -(10/100)x3000

=300

New population-3000+300=3300

Now % of decrease in population-10%

Decrease in population- 10/100x3300

=330

Now new population 3300-330

=2970

Difference in population=3000-2970

=30

Decrease in population=30/3000x100

1

Therefore decrease in population is 1%
