The portion of a line intercepted between the coordinate axes is divided by the point (-3.4) in the
ratio 2:3. The equation of the line is
1) 2x - y +10=0 2) 2x + 1-10 = 0 3) 28-1-10=0 4) x+2y-10=0

2:3 = m1: m2

(-3,4) and let the A point be (x,0) and B pt (0,y)

= (m1x2 + m2x1/ m1+m2 , m1y2+m2y1/m1+m2)

= (0+3x/5 , 2y+0/5 )

= (3x/5,2y/5)

now the point of division is (-3,4)

2= 3x/5

x= 10/3 or 3.667

-3= 2y/5

-15= 2y

y= -15/2 or -7.5
