Answer: Control Unit

Explanation: The Control Unit is the main part of the fetch-execute cycle. It decides which instruction is to be carried out next, fetches it from main memory (IAS) and decodes it i.e. works  out what needs to be done in order for the instruction to be carried out. It executes this by communicating with  other components e.g. the ALU, and instructing them on what to do so the instruction from the user can be executed.
