The position-time graph of a body of mass 2 kg is as given in Figure. What is the impulse on the body at t = 0 s and t = 4 s?

At t=0, u= 0 and v= 3/4 m/s Thus,

Impulse = m (v-u) = 2 (3/4-0) I(att=0) = 1.5 kg m/s

At t- 4s, v= O and u= 3/4 m/s Thus,

impulse = 2(0-3/4) =-1.5 kg m/s
