Here the answer is 0 because first it goes 5m in the -ve direction then 5m in +ve direction so net dispacement is +5 + (-5)=0

iitaspirant52: shouldn't it be like this
iitaspirant52: 5-(-5)=10
iitaspirant52: Final Position - Initial Position
SR10: Yup ur right
iitaspirant52: are u suree
iitaspirant52: that i am right

Answer:

The displacement is 10 m in the time interval 0-10 s.

Explanation:

Given that,

Time interval = 0 -10 s

Displacement :

Displacement is equal to the difference between the final position to the initial potion.

In mathematical form.

D = P_{f}-P_{i}

Where, P_{i}=initial position

P_{f}=final position

Put the value into the formula

D=5-(-5)

D = 10\ m

Hence, The displacement is 10 m in the time interval 0-10 s.
