He mate, here is your answer
His comment was not justified. Ali came to the post office every day in the faith and hope that one day he will get from there a letter from his daughter Miriam. He knew that people will make fun of him but still with the infinite patience and hope he came there daily. When he was on the last stage of his life he lost his patience and asked the postmaster about his daughter's letter. The postmaster was going somewhere and he was in a hurry. The postmaster speaks insultingly and calls Ali a pest. He seems to be a heartless person. But when his own daughter falls ill, he realizes how terrible the pain of separation could be. He was regretting for being failed to understand Ali's pain and anxiety. Now a great change comes in him. He calls Ali his brother and puts Miriam's letter to his grave.
I HOPE IT HELPS.
