Given :

Charge , q = 4 * 10^{-7} C

Distance , r = 9 cm = 0.09 m

To find :

The potential due to the given charge at the point located on 0.09 m from charge .

Solution :

Potential due to a charge =  ( k * q ) / r

where , k is a constant equal to 9.0 * 10^{9} Nm^2/C^{2} ,

q is charge ,

and , r is distance .

now ,

potential = ( 9.0 * 10^{9} *  4 * 10^{-7} ) / 0.09

=> potential = 4 * 10^{4} V

The potential due to the given charge at the point located on 0.09 m from charge is 4 * 10^{4} V .
