Given:

  • Potential difference,V = 8 v

  • Current, I = 4 A

To be calculated:

Calculate the resistance, R ?

Formula used :

V = I × R

Solution:

We have, potential difference and current.

V = I × R

Substituting the values in the above formula,we get

⇒ 8 = 4 × R

⇒ R = 8/4

⇒ R = 2 ohms

Extra information:

Electric current: Rate of flow of charge.

  • It has magnitudes as well as direction.

  • S.I unit of current = Ampere ( A )

  • 1 A = 1 C / 1 S

  • Instrument used to measure current levels is Ammeter.

✯✯ QUESTION ✯✯

The Potential Difference Across the Conductor of 8 Volt Carries a Current of 4A. Calculate the Resistance ..

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

\implies\tt{Current(I)=4A}

\implies\tt{Potential\:Difference(V)=8v}

\implies\tt{Resistance(R)=?}

Now ,

Using Formula : -

\implies\tt{\small{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\red{\sf{V=I\times{R}}}}}}}}

Putting Values : -

\implies\tt{8=4\times{R}}

\implies\tt{\cancel\dfrac{8}{4}=R}

\red\longmapsto\:\large\underline{\boxed{\bf\green{R}\orange{=}\purple{2\:Ohms}}}

So , The Resistance is 2 Ohms..

Electric Current : -

An Electric current is the rate of flow of charge which flows from negative point to positive point.It is denoted by symbol I .The SI unit of current is Ampere(A)..

Formula of Current is : -

\leadsto\tt\bold{I =\dfrac{V}{R}}
