The potential energy of a freely falling object decreases progressively. Does this violate the paw of conservation of energy? Why?

no it does not because as the potential energy decreases progressively the velocity of the object increases....hence the kinetic energy increase with the decrease of the potential energy...so the mechanical energy remains same
