Current flows through the 9 Ω resistor is

   l21=36/9=4(As P=l2R)

   l1=2A

Like the resistors, 9 Ω and 6 Ω are connected in parallel for the circuit is.

The potential difference across them it will be the same follows.

  9I1=6I/2

        l2=9×26=3A

Current drawn from the battery is

I=I1+I2=(2+3) A=5 A

Therefore the potential difference between the 2 Ω resistor is

   =(5 A)(2 Ω)=10 V
