the power of a lens is +2.5D. what is its focal length and what kind of lens it is. plz tell me correct and quickly i know answer but i am not able to understand why the answer came in cm.

given that P= 2.5 d

we know that P = 1/f

f = 1/P

f = 100/2.5(in cm) = 40cm

since f is +ve then it is a convex lens

p = 1 / f

2.5 = 1/f
f = 1÷2.5
f = 2÷5
f = 0.4 m
convex lens.
because SI system is preferred generally
