Focal length
f = 1/p
=1/(-4)
= -0.25 m

So focal length is -0.25m
Since, f is negative, lens is concave.

I hope its helpfull for you.

Thanks for question !

Answer !!!
Given

The  \:  \: power \:  of  \: a  \: lens  \: is \:  \:  -4.0 D.
Using here formula

p  =  \frac{1}{f}
 - 4 =  \frac{1}{f}
f =  \frac{1}{ - 4}
f =  - 0.25

as power is -ve it indicates that the lens is a concave lens...

hope this helps ^_^
