Given : The power rating for the air conditioner is 20 KW and the voltage passing is 230 volts

the internal resistance within the circuit to be 60 ohm and

time of consumption to be 8 hours per day.

To Find : the heat generated by the compressor of the air conditioner.

Solution:

Power  P = 20 kW = 20000 W

Voltage  V = 230V

Current  I =  ?

P = VI

=> 20000 = 230 I

=> I = 86.957 A

internal resistance within the circuit to be 60 ohm

heat generated by the compressor of the air conditioner. = I²Rt

= 86.957² * 60 *  8 * 3600

= 13,06,61,62,570.9  Joule

= 13,06,61,62.57  kJ

= 1.3066 x 10⁷ kJ
