Article 17 of Indian constitution talks about abolishen of untouchability. This is a fundamental right provided to citizens n aliens (citizens belongs to other country) to maintain the equality among the people in society.
This concept is mainly included here to uplift the status of lower caste people in society. Earlier they were not allowed to enter in a school or enter in a house of higher caste people and a many a examples are there related to their status.
B. R. Ambedkar was too not allowed to enter in a school after a lot of efforts he allowed to come but not allowed to sit with other upper caste children's. N mainly he is known as the maker of constitution so, to uplift the status he added the provision
