And,

Age of C = 3X

Before 8 years age of A = ( 4X -8) years

Before 8 years age of B = ( 7X -8) years

And,

Before 8 years age of C = (3X-8) years.

According to question,

Before 8 years sum of age of A , B and C = 56

( A ) + (B) + (C) = 56

4X - 8 + 7X - 8 + 3X - 8 = 56

14X - 24 = 56

2( 7X- 12) = 56

7X -12 = 56/2

7X -12 = 28

7X = 28 +12

7X = 30

X = 30/7

X = 4.28.
