brother's age will be: ' x+5 ' years

sum of their present age is 21 years

equation will be:-

x+5+x= 21

2x+5 = 21

2x= 16

x= 16/2

x= 8

sister's age = 8 years

so, brother age will be=

8+5

13 years.

hence, Sister's age = 8 years

Brother's age is 13 years
