Let Father's age = F, 1st child's age = C1 and 2nd child's age = C2
We have two conditions given in the question.
F = 2(C1 + C2) = 2C1 + 2C2 -------------- (i)
After 22 years,
F + 22 = C1+22+C2+22
F = C1 + C2 +22 ----------------------------- (ii)
Equating (i) and (ii), we get
2C1 + 2C2 = C1 + C2 + 22
C1 + C2 = 22
Putting this value in (i), we get F = 44
So father's age is 44 years.
