son x
A man 3x
So,
4(x-6)=3x-6
4x-24=3x-6
x=-6+24
x=18
son=x=18yrs
a man=3x=3X18=54yrs
Their ratio 18:54=1:3

zary: sorry buddy but recently i was solved and you have a little mistake i.e - x=18+6=24 ,3x=18*3+6=60 60/24= 5:2
