Answer:

Let the present age of the son of that man be x years

So, age of man will be 3 times of x + 3 years

⇒ ( 3x + 3 ) years

Given, 3 years hence man's age will be 10 years more than twice the age of his son

Age of man 3 years hence = Present age + 3 years

= ( 3x + 3 )years + 3 years

= ( 3x + 6 ) years ------ : ( 1 )

Age of son = Present age + 3 years

= x years + 3 years

= ( x + 3 ) years ------: ( 2 )

According to the questions : -

Three years hence the mans age will be 10 years more than twice the age of his son

Man's age 3 years hence = 10 years more than the twice of his son's age

From ( 1 ) & ( 2 )

⇒ ( 3x + 6 ) years = 2( x + 3 ) years + 10 years

⇒ ( 3x + 6 ) = 2( x ) + 2( 3 ) + 10

⇒ 3x + 6 = 2x + 6 + 10

⇒ 3x - 2x = 10 + 6 -6

⇒ x = 10

∴ Present age of man's son = x years = 10 years

∴ Present age of man = 3x + 3 = 3( 10 ) + 3 years

Present age of man = 33 years
