Answer:

Ajay 's son age = 10 years

Ajay 's age = 40 Years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Ajay son age be "x"

then Ajay age = "4x"

After 5 years,

Ajay son age = x + 5

Ajay age = 4x + 5

According to question

they have his son age 3 times his present age so

Ajay son age = 3(x+5)

Ajay age = 4x+5

4x + 5 = 3x +15

4x - 3x = 15 - 5

Ajay son age = x = 10 years

Ajay age = 4x = 40 years

Answer:

  • The ages of Ajey and his are 40 and 10 years respectively

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • The present age of Ajay is 4 times his son’s age .
  • After 5 years Ajay’s  age will be 3 times his son’s age

To Find:

  • The present ages of Ajay and his son

Assumptions:

  • Let the age of Ajay be 4x
  • Let the age of Ajay's son be x

Solution:

Their ages after 5 years,

  • Ajey's age will be 4x + 5
  • Aye's son's age will be x + 5

According to the question,

\rightarrow \tt \qquad 4x + 5 = 3(x + 5 )

\rightarrow \tt \qquad 4x + 5 = 3x + 15

\rightarrow \tt \qquad 4x - 3x = 15 - 5

\rightarrow \tt \qquad x = 15 - 5

\rightarrow \tt \qquad {\pink{\boxed{\frak{x = 10 }}}\purple\bigstar}

Now let's find their present ages,

\nrightarrow \sf \qquad Ajay's \; age = 4x = 4(10) = 40

\nrightarrow \sf \qquad Ajay's \; son's \; age = 1x = 1(10) = 10

Therefore:

  • The ages of Ajey and his are 40 and 10 years respectively
