According to I st condition,

Y = 4X (I)

According to II nd condition,

Y + 8 = (X + 8)×2

Y + 8 = 2 X + 16 (II)

By putting ,

Y = 4X in eq^n (II)

4X + 8 = 2X + 16

4X - 2X = 16 - 8

2X = 8

X = 4 yrs..

By putting X=4 in eq^n ( I )
