The age of the father is four times the age of his son, Arun. After 8 years, he would be two times Arun’s age. What is the present age of the father?

Long-term goals or a short-term goals, aim to meet them all.

Let,

The age of arun and his father be X and Y respectively…

According to I st condition,

Y = 4X (I)

According to II nd condition,

Y + 8 = (X + 8)×2

Y + 8 = 2 X + 16 (II)

By putting ,

Y = 4X in eq^n (II)

4X + 8 = 2X + 16

4X - 2X = 16 - 8

2X = 8

X = 4 yrs..

By putting X=4 in eq^n ( I )

Hence,

The age of father = Y = 16 yrs..

The present age of arun’s father is 16 yrs..

Too…Amazing his father was of 12 yrs at the time of arun's birth..

Ten years ago, the age of the father was four times the age of his son. Ten years hence, the age of the father will be twice of his son. What are the present ages of the father and his son?

A person’s present age is one third of the age of his mother. After 12 years, his age will be one half of the age of his mother. What is present age of his mother?

Father's age is 3 times greater than 4. After 12 years father's age 2 times from his son. What is the present age?

Let Arun’s present age be x and his Father’s present age be y. Given:

y = 4x

After 8 years, Arun’s age will be x+8 and his Father’s age will be y+8. Given:

y+8 = 2(x+8)

Solving these two gives:

Father’s age, y = 16

Arun’s age, x = 4

Now what really scares me is the fact that Arun’s Father became a dad when he was 12.

Let us assume the present ages of father and son be X and Y

X=4Y

After eight years

X+8=(Y+8)*2

X+8=2Y+16

Subsituting equation 1 with equation 2

4Y+8=2Y+16

2Y=8

Y=4

X=16

Present age of father is 16.( pretty young he he)

Let the age of the father be y

Let the age of arun be x

[math]y = 4x...1[/math]

[math]y+8=2(x+8)...2[/math]

Solving equaltions 1 and 2 will give

x = 4 , and y = 16.
