Solution:-
Let the present age of Keerthi be 'x' years
Therefore the present age of Devi will be = 5x years.
Now according to the question,
After 5 years, the age keerthi will be = (x + 5) years.
After 5 years, the age of Devi will be = (5x + 5) years.
Ratio of their respective ages after 5 years will be = 3:1 (Given)
Therefore,
5x+5 : x + 5 :: 3 : 1
The product of the extremes = the product of the means
1(5x + 5) = 3(x +5)
5x + 5 = 3x + 15
5x - 3x = 15 - 5
2x = 10
x = 5
So the present age of keerthi is 5 years.
Therefore, the present age of Devi is = 5*5 = 25 years.
After 5 years Keerthi's age will be 10 years and Devi's age will be 30 years.

Let Keerthis present age be x yrs
Devi's present age = 5x yrs
After 5 yrs
Keerthis age = x + 5 yrs
Devi's present age = 5x + 5 yrs
Ratio = 3:1
(5x+5)/(x+5) = 3/1
Cross multiplication :
(5x + 5) × 1 = (x + 5) ×3
5x + 5 = 3x + 15
5x - 3x = 15 - 5
2x = 10
x = 10/2
x = 5
Therefore, Keerthis present age is 5 years and Devi's present age is 5 × 5 = 25 years.
