the present age of kavya's mother is four times that of kavya's age,. ten years from now, kavya's age will be half of her mother's present age, what are their present ages

Kavya's age is x.
Her mother's age will be 4x
X+10=1/2(4x)
x+10=2x
x=10
Therefore her mother's present age is 4×10=40 and kavya's age is 10
