According to the question,

(x+10)=1/2(y+10).........¡¡

Now ¡¡= X+10=y+10/2

=>2(x+10)=y+10

=>2x+20=y+10

=>2x=y-10.........¡¡¡

Now
4x=y........¡
2x=y-10....¡¡

¡-¡¡ we get

x=5

Putting x=5 in ¡

4×5=y

=>20=y

The present age of kavya and her mother is 5 and 20.
