So x+y= 60 equation no.1

Their age after 15 years

Mother = x+15

Daughter = y+15

According to question

x+15= 2( y+15)

x+15= 2y+ 30

x-15= 2y equation 2

Now substitutjng equation 1 and2

x-15= 2(60-x)

x-15= 120- 2x

3x= 135

x = 135/3

x= 45 years

Mother age is 45 years

Daughter age 60–45= 15 years
