=> 4x+10 = 266
=> 4x = 266-10
=> 4x = 256
=> x = 256/4
=> x = 64
Therefore, Raman's age is 64 years and his mother's age is 3x=3×64= 192 years.

& age of Raman's mother = (3x + 5) years.

According to the question,

(x + 5) + ( 3x + 5) = 266

x = 256/4 = 64


Therefore the present age of Raman is 64 years and of his mother is (3×64=) 192 years.
