Given,

The present age of Ramana's father is twice that of Ramana.

Let us take, Ramana's age as 'x'.

and the age of Ramana's father = 2x

After 6 years,

Age of Ramana = x+6

Age of Ramana's father = 2x+6

As it is given that after 6 years the sum their ages will be 87 year. So..

x+6+2x+6 = 87

3x+12 = 87

3x = 87-12

3x = 75

x = 75/3

x = 25

Therefore the age of Ramana is = x = 25 years.

And the age of Ramana's father is = 2x = 2×25 = 50years.
