the present age of rohan's father is three times his present age. after 5 years, sum of their ages will be 70 years. find their present ages

Let present age of Rohan be x
Then,present age of his father=3x
ATQ
After 5 yrs sum of their ages=70
After 5 yrs age of Rohan=x+5
And,Age of his father after 5 yrs=3x+5
So,x+5+3x+5=70
4x+10=70
4x=60
x=60/4=15
Hence,present age of Rohan=x=15
And,Present age of his father=3x=3×15=45
