Step-by-step explanation:

Let present age of Sahil =x years

Let present age of Sahil's mother =y years

The present age of Sahil's mother is three times the present age of Sahil.

So,

y=3x ......... (1)

After 5 years their ages add to 66 years.

After 5 years Sahil age =x+5

After 5 years Sahil's mother age =y+5

Now,

x+5+y+5=66

x+y+10=66

x+y=66−10

x+y=56 ......... (2)

x+3x=56

4x=56

x=14 years

From (1),

y=3x

=3(14)

=42 years

present age of Sahil =14 years

present age of Sahil's mother =42 years

Answer:

let Sahil mother age = 3x

sahil's age = x

after 4 years

sahil age will be 4X

mom age will be 12X

4X + 12X = 66

16 X = 66

X = 66/16

Hence, Sahil Present Age = 4=125

mom's present age = 12.375 years
