x=5y..........1

According to 2nd condition

x+10= 3(y+10)

=>x+10= 3y+30

=>x = 3y+30-10

=> x = 3y+20

Now, substituting the value of x in equation 1 we get

3y+20=5y

=>3y-5y= -20

=> -2y = -20

=> y = 20/2

=> y= 10

Again substituting the value of y in equation 1 we get

x= 5*10

=> x= 50

Thus the age of Salmon is 50 years
