The present age of Shobha is equal to one-fifth of her mother subha's age .Twenty -five years later, the age of Shobha will be 4 year less than half the age of her mother sudha. find the present age​

therefore Shobha's age = X/5

25 years later,

mother's age = X + 25

Shobha's age = (X+25)/2 - 4

lets equate their ages to get the answer,

if we say that past age which is 25 years earlier her age would have been

X/2 -4 - 25

now equate it with previous eq

X/5 = X+25/2 - 4 -25

X/5 -(x+25)/2 = -29

29 = (X+25)/2 - X/5

29 = (5x + 125 - 2x)/10

290 - 125 = 3x

3x = 165

X= 55

therefore present age of mother is 55

and age of daughter is 55/5 = 11
